State of Michigan - MiPage App

Introduction

MiPage is a free application that serves as your real-time link to all things Michigan. If you give us your favorite places in Michigan, we'll give you the latest news and events. You can also search for a State office or a great campground, get information about job openings, or find out where to vote. 

The Problem

The old MiPage app had archaic databases and was built on a defunct platform. Design, UX, DEV, and content had to be recreated from scratch with a 40-day timeline.

The Solution:

I worked with a single developer to create this application The effort included:

• All new designs for Mac & Android
• Sold through an illustration approach that used "custom-stock" assets
  
• Constant feedback and UX iteration with DEV
• Managed QA efforts along with my director-level managers
  

The Outcome

We delivered the MiPage application on time and under budget. We found clever ways to save money on assets but also customized them to appear more bespoke. That application outperformed the old app by 10x within the first 30 days of being made to the public.
